| How we Work |
|
Helping you to help yourself is the byword of how we work. This can be approached in many ways. Mentoring session, board level updates, document reviews, and assistance with best practices all help you to feel confident that the outsourcing process is preceding at the right pace and with the right controls. The use of tried and tested methodologies, your own staff and most importantly experience can ease the implementation of outsourcing. Our level of involvement is different from organisation to organisation. One issue with hiring in a completely external set of consultants is that many of the reasons crucial decisions are made will be lost when the team leave. As much as possible your internal staff are used to retain this background knowledge of the outsource relationship and reduce overall costs.
It doesn’t end there Many outsource agreements are signed over 3 –5 years and start out with both parties entering into the spirit of the agreement. After time, issues occur and are not resolved quickly. These fester and can eventually lead to early termination of the contract. Ongoing governance is one of the most vital areas of continuing investment. We can help with setting up an effective governance model to start with as well as issue resolution and periodic reviews. |
Outsourcing Methodology
|
Analysis: Your internal processes are reviewed for suitability to outsource. Outsourcing Mentor will supply tools and process. Decision: A decision is taken to outsource. There are many risk – cost – benefit factors to weigh up during the decision making. Budget is then set aside for the outsource project Vendor Selection: The Vendor selection process is then undertaken. Outsourcing Mentor can help with their database of local and international vendors Implementation: The process is mapped and integrated with the vendor. Test runs are performed to ensure the remaining functions still operate Transition: The process is transitioned to the vendor. This is done in a staged manner to ensure no drop in quality or service level. Governance: An ongoing governance model is defined with regular review periods. This ensures that the relationship with the vendor continues to grow and mature |
There is no cookie cutter approach. It will be tailored to you and your organisation.
