Virtual assistant

People and often organisations are turning to Virtual Assistants to help with their increasing time pressured life and reduce overall PA costs. There is a certain level within an organisation, above which everyone has their own personal assistant. The people below this level could benefit from an assistant but budgetary constraints won’t allow it. A new, cheaper option is to provide them with a Virtual Assistant based in a remote location.

Outsourcing Mentor has Virtual Assistant resources in various locations round the world and can help an individual or a company with the setting up. We also provide a free session to mentor people on how to maximise the potential of a virtual assistant

Some tips:

  • Ensure the work is easily describable
  • Try to have a large background task that will ensure there is always work for your assistant
  • Have regular communication with your assistant. This includes phone calls as well as email exchanges
  • Feed back to your assistant if a task has gone badly, providing additional direction so that it will be done right in the future
  • Try not to give time critical tasks to your assistant. It might only take you a few hours to complete based on your knowledge but your assistant might have to take a day or even 2 before they complete the work.
  • The longer you work with your assistant the better the relationship will get. This can typically take up to 3 months
